I loved the music tutorial class for my nephew with autism. I did see how the use of music immediately broke down the barriers and help reach him. The format of having the mom do the activities with the child is very beneficial. It not only taught how to carry over the activity at home, but more so an opportunity to bond with each other in a different level. We do want to find a medium where both can reach out to each other. Furthermore, the atmosphere is not stressful, not highly formal, and the kids contribute to the flow of the session. Indeed, I honestly think the kids had so much fun that the session seemed very short. More power and clearly document the benefits of music therapy to all type of special children.
